Blue HeronBlue Heron I was ecstatic to finally see the elusive Blue Heron that I’ve been tracking for several months walking along the shores of a local pond. While visible to the naked eye, it was still at a distance that tested the limits of my 300mm lens. The water levels had recently been lowered due to construction revealing an accessible shoreline that I could have accessed to increase my chances of a better shot. However, I chose to remain at a distance. The bird’s space and safety was more important. Bird photography comes with responsibility. Birds first, photos second.
