Blue Jay
While I'll often hear the Blue Jays squawking, they rarely stick around in our yard. Our feeders are designed to exclude bigger birds. Today, however, a group of four Blue Jays took an interest in the seed that had been scattered on the ground by a flock of house finches. One of them decided to perch on a nearby leaf-covered branch where I was sitting resulting in a colorful autumn bird photo!
