One of my favorite places in the world is Yaquina Head Natural Outstanding Area in Newport, Oregon. The lighthouse is Oregon’s tallest and was first lit on August 20, 1863. Wildlife viewing is abundant from the spouting grey whales to the harbor seals frolicking and laying on near-shore rocks. Up to 65,000 common murres arrive at Yaquina in the spring.
Sometimes video can capture moments in a way that photos cannot. Below is a short scenic compilation that I put together of my recent visit to Yaquina Head.
